Well guys, here is the news that we all expected and I for one am as excited as everyone else to learn that James Cameron has travelled to the infamous Mariana Trench in the Western Pacific, the deepest of the world’s oceans, almost an astonishing seven miles deep to film the sequel to the original Avatar movie.
Mr Cameron, the movie’s director has reportedly commissioned an Australian submarine construction company to design and build a craft that can take him and and an entire film crew to a depth of around 36,000 feet below sea level in an attempt to shoot the sequel in glorious 3D fo even more mind boggling, digital special effects.
The specially fitted out craft will be constructed with a special composite material, capable of withstanding immense pressures and will be powered by hybrid electrical generators.
But why will he be filming the next Avatar movie at such insane depths I hear you ask?
This is because of the unique footage that is only possible to be taken at these depths underwater which will be transformed into an amazing visual treat for the faithful Navi army.
My Camerons love for deep waters has perhaps influenced the reasoning for filming in such trecherous territory although it will be the perfect location for creating the visuals which will make up the majority of footage for the oceans of Pandora.
I’ts no surprise to learn that the Navi can hold their breath for incredible lengths of time which helps them to hunt some terrifying creatures which can only survive at these depths.
These oceans have only been explored three times by humans and most of the sea bed remains an un-charted mystery, who only knows what creatures may live there but I have a feeling that we are all about to find out.
The eagerly anticipated follow up to the original Avatar blockbuster simply can’t come soon enough for us fans and we can only hope that it lives up to it’s very high expectations.
Will Jake Sully regain his ability to walk? Will the Navi tribe survive and flourish, or will mankind destroy them for good?
One thing is for sure, the Navi army will be the first to find out and you can bet that I will be at the head of the queue.
Till the next time Avatar fans…
P.S. Don’t forget to grab your Avatar Jake Sully and Neytiri costumes in time for what is sure to be a fun-filled and memorable occasion for us all.
Well my friends, Is Princess Neytiri the sexiest humanoid ever? I think that there is absolutely no doubt about it and this
